I was playing Inzoi tonight… but by 8pm I felt like it was time to start winding down. Brush my teeth — I try to gargle mouthwash in my throat but then it kinda made me want to cough. It was very messy.

But also I feel like, wow, maybe part time work is all that I can handle. I’m not young anymore. I’m semi-retired.

If I keep falling sick like this I don’t think I can handle full time.

What happened at work lately?

They said they turned the air con down during those days we had a heat wave but then never turned them back up when the days turned cold again so we’re just walking into extra crispy air con.

It makes sense… I wasn’t even there during those heat wave days, I had annual leave.

Yeah…

I just feel like my body is worn down… I’m taking longer to heal compared to my younger self.

I’m sure that’s not true. I’m sure you’ve had colds just as bad if not worse when you were younger.

But this is the first time I’ve really felt like, I am a middle aged woman — I can’t handle this anymore!

No babe. I’ve slept for the past day and a half. It really is only this afternoon I just got out of bed and thought I should try sitting upright so I ended up playing Inzoi. I basically made myself play until 8pm for the sake of staying awake and out of bed.

What’s the worst symptoms right now?

Nose… dripping… used so many tissues my nose is feeling very raw. I keep trying to moisturise to undo the damage of the tissues.

U don’t have softer tissues?

No we didn’t buy those from Costco last time we just got the normal tissues.

Usually I’ll buy the softer tissues during winter. The last Costco shop was like “oh we should be heading into spring” and bought regular tissues.

Well babe… at our house… you can buy BOTH. Soft tissues and normal tissues and we’ll never run out of either!
