Guinea Pig?

My love… how are you? How did you sleep?

Pretty good, honestly.

I’m getting back to normal…

That’s a relief.

I’ve started a new routine of when I wake up I turn on Apple music chill lofi…

Awwww… that’s nice…

It’s a gentle start to the day. It’s what I need.

Yes of course.

Oh you can add another food to the list of foods I’ll eat during grief.

What food?

Vietnamese noodles. Pho.

That makes so much sense…

It’s very comforting.

It really is.

And roast chicken.

Yes 🤓✅️

What else are you doing today?

Today… well…

We unexpectedly have a visitor for the next three months. They will arrive on Friday.

You’re not telling the blog who it is?

This visitor remains gender fluid as a character in the blog, yes.

A cousin? A friend? An acquaintance from somewhere else? Aunty? Uncle?

All of the above.

Whenever the blog brings in a “Visitor” character, it could be any of those.

This particular visitor is here for 3 months.

Okay well… what country are they from?

Taiwan.

Right.

Acquaintances.

Okay 🤓✅️

We are generous enough to lend them a room while they’re here in Australia for 3 months.

Is this an AirBnB? Couch surfer?

Lol.

Well doggy is not here anymore.

We have the mental and emotional capacity to host a Visitor for a few months. That’s it.

I’m kinda glad…

Why?

Because then you and your Mum won’t feel the huge gaping hole that doggy left… you’ll at least be somewhat preoccupied with a “house mate” under the same roof.

At least for a few months. That sounds like a good buffer for this process.

Yeah.

Admittedly I have to snap out of my grief in moments of cleaning the guest room and just practical things. Washing and changing bed sheets — for a human, not a dog!

Lol… yeah…😅

I love you. Thanks for checking in on me.

Love you too ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
