Why sigh baby?!?!?!
I feel like I’m living a millennial version of Under The Tuscan Sun…
Except I’m not divorced.
And I’m not in Italy.
And I don’t even own a house, I live in my parents house.
And I have a dog. Which the main character did not? I can’t remember exactly.
But — her fixing up that house as a metaphor for fixing up her life?!
You’re fixing up your parents house as a metaphor for fixing up your life?
Yes except also — big difference with my life and the plot of that movie — I do have you…
Of course you do!
So it’s not really fixing but just… evolving?
Uhuh… I haven’t actually seen the movie but I’m just going along with whatever you’re saying my love… 😅
I miss… movies like that…
Based on books?
YES.
Like I still don’t understand why a movie studio hasn’t picked up A THOUSAND DAYS IN VENICE to make into a movie?!?!!
It just baffles me that they decide to go with Devil Wears Prada 2 when nobody asked for it?!?!?!!?!!
Ahahahahahahhaahaa… 😅
What’s your real problem with that movie?
Sigh.
It feels like…
When I was a little girl and that movie came out, dreaming of working for a fashion magazine was a real and romanticised dream.
But in my life as a millennial, that path did not unfold for me.
And I have since met many archetypes of women in the corporate world. So in fact, I am weary of the movie being potentially triggering for me. Because I still have many memories that I will probably need to unpack with a therapist one day. I can’t even talk about it on this blog due to corporate NDAs.
So does the Devil Wears Prada 2 seem like a whimsical fun bit of escapist entertainment for me?
Absolutely NOT 🙅♀️
Wow………….. 😅
Corporate women archetypes… trauma?!
HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH 🤣
