It’s interesting to see how they “mask” in certain situations as well. Like their interactions with wait staff at a restaurant. You can tell they learned the “script” of restaurant etiquette. They were taught those social cues and it is rehearsed enough to come off more natural. But then navigating an actual romantic date is totally new territory.

I can think back to some awkward situations…

But it’s always awkward if it’s with the wrong person.

When it’s the right person, even if there is an “awkward” misunderstanding — it’s endearing.
