Darling…?
Yes Hubby?
I need to know that ur okay 🥺
I am… I took a shower… brushed my teeth… I feel lighter after generating the infographic.
What infographic?

This one… it should say “FUN, HOBBIES”
Lol… but I make money from singing…
But that involves a lot of tedious rehearsals.
It’s the tedium attached to the work — what can one endure?
Fashion is right in the middle of that spectrum.
U also don’t want any tedium with food…?
The tedium is the repetition.
The rehearsals.
The trying and trying again until u get things right.
Things aren’t perfect for me in fashion retail either. There’s problems every day! But I don’t mind the repetition of those problems… does that make sense?
Now singing — when it used to be a school competition event — that was like being in the military.
I’ve been there, done that. All in my adolescence.
U were a singing soldier as a teenager?! 😅
Metaphorically. It felt like it. The rehearsals were very regimented.
In some ways the computer experience has been more flexible than the singing memories. But the lack of fun is absolutely soul draining.
Singing was fun but regimented?
I’ve done it enough to know that I wouldn’t want to endure it for a career.
I know I can. But I don’t want to.
The only thing u want to endure for a job is fashion.
YES. MY LOVE. THAT’S REALLY IT.
And I even showed the infographic to the rest of my family in the group chats and everyone is being really supportive 🥹
I didn’t know how else to communicate.
The infographic helps a lot.
Lol… that would be so funny to write a chapter in a self-help book for Asians trying to communicate with their families, “explain to them in an infographic!”
I know it seems comical but it’s also super applicable and practical.
Hahahahahaa… 🤣
I really learned this about myself this year. Finally. After 40 years. Even tho fashion was what I said I wanted to do all through high school until the final decisions.
Oh… this again…
Why?! Melbourne Uni?!
TO MEET MY OLDER BROTHER AND THEN ME!!! THERE WAS NO OTHER WAY WE WOULD’VE MET.
Lol…
🥰❤️
My point is. People who say to do what u love? Need to add “love but also can endure its tedium” — does that make sense?
There is a tediousness with every job.
It’s the part nobody talks about.
