So in that moment she gave me permission to confront her. In that moment she gave me permission to EDUCATE her, if I have to. In that moment she gave me permission to always be completely and totally HONEST with her in our parent-offspring relationship.

Being a good son and daughter also means helping ur parents become better people. Just as when we were young they taught us to stand up straight, hold our chopsticks, etc, go to school.
As they get older and we are grounded in our own adulthood — if we see something not right about their ways and patterns, it is our duty to point that out to them to HELP THEM BECOME BETTER PEOPLE.
