I think she matches people’s energies. I’ve been around long enough to know who does it and who doesn’t. I guess I do it too.

I feel like I’m watching a tennis player. 🎾 she sends it back to them.

But she can’t sleep? Is she sending it back or letting it drag her down?!

I haven’t seen her “play tennis” to this level. It would drain me too. Honestly, I don’t know how she even did it in those moments.

I think it takes a level of bravery. Nobody expected it out of her, either. She kind of masks things in a joke.

I don’t know, but I noticed a lot of Aussies do it too. And I recently learned it’s not actually a joke, they’re throwing shade. The whole time all these years I thought everybody was getting along and joking around — no they’re actually being really passive aggressive!

Then if ur NOT Australian and making a joke that’s a genuine joke, they’re suddenly taking it as passive aggressive?!?!??!!?! 🤯

I’ve worked with other Aussies. I never noticed the passive aggressive joking thing. R u sure it’s an Aussie thing and not just her?

I don’t know but I think there’s a very high percentage it’s not just her.

Hmmm… so all the Aussie coworkers understand these nuances but others don’t?

People KNOW these things — generally. We all KNOW this as a general concept. But I observed it in her recently. I was surprised to see it.

Anyway I don’t think u should worry about her. I think she’ll be fine after her holiday. She started talking about that as something to look forward to.

I’m LESS WORRIED about coworkers who have something to look forward to.

There’s some she KNOWS. She’s so friendly she KNOWS they live in the suburbs around that shopping area and they go for a walk and they go into ur store and she talks to them and SHE KNOWS THEM AS REGULAR CUSTOMERS.

She’s so FRIENDLY. They TALK TO HER ABOUT THEIR STUFF. Just like other coworkers! And anyone! They just start TALKING.
