I never burn bridges. I could call up any past employer today to ask for more work, even casual or freelance opportunities if I was that desperate.

Thankfully, I haven’t needed to make those calls. But I know I could, because I didn’t burn those bridges. I always left those contracts very polite and friendly. I didn’t cause any dramas. I didn’t cause any scenes.

I, in myself, emotionally, within myself, never want to go back. But in those moments of winding down and saying goodbye, I didn’t show that — I stayed polite, friendly, and professional. So the door is not permanently closed.

Do u know how often people return to past workplaces? It’s very common! Especially if u left with polite friendliness. If u left with a whole big rebellious drama, u’ve burned that bridge, ur never welcome back.
