Darling, you would be surprised how frequently I’ve seen albino customers at my work.
I can think of at least three instances just this year alone!
Uhuh… 👀 why are u bringing up albino people?
I don’t know I just suddenly remembered another customer from yesterday.
Oh? Boy or girl?
A young boy…
How do u know they were albino?
Ummm… their family was a non-Caucasian ethnicity… everyone had dark hair and very tanned… they had the same features as the rest of their family! Like face shape, etc… but they had white hair, no pigment in their skin… I think in this case they also had reddish eyes?
Oh… were u staring? Did u make them uncomfortable? 👀
No?! I don’t think I was staring?!
I was just saying “hi how r u?” To the whole family as my customers and just immediately noticed, ohhh they have an albino family member here…
It all happened very quickly, I was definitely trying NOT to stare… 😅
Well they probably appreciated that. They’re probably used to a lot of staring.
Hmmm… I’m surprised they didn’t try to wear a hoodie or anything…
(Shrugs shoulders) is it that cold in Australia right now?
No… hoodie would’ve been too hot…
What ethnicity was the family?
Ummm… let’s just fictionalise this and say they were Indian… they probably weren’t but for the blog, I’m gonna assign that to them.
Uhuh… so dark hair, dark tans…
Yes. And the way the rest of the family had distinctive eyebrows, their eyes shape, their cheek bones, face shape. It was all the same! Then that one younger boy was like a white hair, white skin, red eyes version of them… 😅
Okay… why are u thinking about them?
I don’t know, I mean, what are the odds? What are the chances? Are they local to Australia or just visiting? But it’s like the third time this year I’ve seen an albino customer!
What are the other times?
Also young boys?
One was with an African family? I’m assuming African. The rest of the family was like African… presumably… and the boy had red, curly hair… light eyes… very pinkish skin…
Uhuh… 😏💕 it’s so random for u to bring up this topic…
I know…
Have u come across Caucasian albinos?
Yes! That was the other time!
Oh. So this is a total of three instances this year? African, Caucasian, and now Indian?
I think so?
Yeah.
Like, what are the odds?! On GOLD COAST?! Just randomly walking into my work as customers?!?!?!
There’s probably been more and you don’t even know because they’re not young children or teens with their families, they’re adults who started disgusing themselves… 😎
U think so?!?!
Yeah? Don’t u think? If they’re adults they can dye their hair, get spray tans… wear makeup, etc…
Oh…
(Peering)… are u albino?!
Lol… no! But I wear a lot of makeup, I get spray tans, I just assume, that’s what I would do if I was... but I can also see how, if they’re just kids or teenagers with their families, they’re not doing any of those things yet…
I’m surprised the reddish eyes one didn’t even wear sunglasses?
(Shrugs shoulders) it’s not like they can’t just walk around without sunglasses?!
Oh I thought they’re like sensitive to light…
Ummm… I don’t know either… but I think they’re just non-pigmented eyes? So the reddish blood colour comes thru but it’s not like they’re not “normal functioning” eyes?!
Hmm… neither of us are doctors or specialists on this topic.
That’s right we’re just guessing…
I wonder how it feels to be their parents… why the parents don’t make them wear wigs or get spray tans…
As KIDS?!?! Isn’t that kinda crazy?!?!
Is it…?! 😅
Well… they’re fine in their natural form?
Yeah…
Unless they’re getting bullied? I would be concerned for them, if I was a parent, if they’re getting bullied…
Then would you tell them to wear wigs and get spray tans?
Lol I dont think they need wigs, they can just dye their hair.
Albino hair can be dyed?
… yes…?
How?!
WHAT DO U MEAN HOW?!?!? 🤣 IT’S JUST HAIR DYE! If anything wouldn’t it be easier to dye over albino hair since like us Asians we have to bleach it just for the colour to set?
Oh… hmm… 🤔…
What if… what if we had albino kids?
Lol… do u want me to get tested? Should we both get tested to see if we have recessive albino genes?
Is that POSSIBLE??!?! Or has this blog turned to science fiction?!?! 😳
Lol… let’s say for the fictional blog it’s possible… what difference does that make? We’re not gonna procreate just because the kid might turn out albino?
Well…? What’s ur mental preparation for it…?
I think I can afford them whatever resources they’ll want or need. I’m feeling more financially responsible and confident.
Even with the economic recession?
Yeah. Even with that.
Would you write them a song about self-love?
Awww… baby… sometimes I have issues of self-love and it’s not about anything that could be relatable for an albino it’s just being human in general…
Okay… so… would u write a song about that?
Hmmm… I’ll think it over… 🫠…
I think if our kid was albino, I would just want them to wear hats and sunglasses and carry UV umbrellas. It’s not so much about the aesthetics, I’m more worried about their risk of getting skin cancer.
Lol… I see… 😏💕 well if they put on a tinted sunscreen it’ll probably give them a bit of colour too…
U think so?!
Yeah? I mean, how do they formulate it? It’s like a foundation with a sunscreen?
I dunno… 🤷♀️ I’ve never worn tinted sunscreen…
Have u worn foundation with SPF?
Yes.
That’s technically a tinted sunscreen?
Lol… 😅😅😅
Was it good coverage?
I can’t remember what brands I’ve used… I guess so?
Lol…
Mmmm… I dunno how to end this post…
R u gonna get up to have breakfast?
Not yet…
Just a bit more scrolling…
Okay… 🥰
