Well… I’m currently weighing up… at what point do I reach out to MY older brother for help…

Well — he didn’t study cybersecurity but — it’s just such cybersecurity BASICS that I think he could help me… yes… and he’s offered — any time that I need help — just email him, whatever I’ve got — the assignment task sheet, the criteria sheet, whatever my drafts that I’m up to — he’s happy to have a look at it all for me…
That’s nice of him!
Hmmm… well… did I also tell you he’s been a uni lecturer before?

Ahhh — (No, he didn’t go stalk my older brother’s LinkedIn — he’s not THAT obsessed with me!)
He even got an award… it was like student body nominated and voted — he got the BEST TEACHER of the YEAR kind of award, from the students…..

(Chuckles) — Is it really that impressive?! (Weird expression)
Yeah!!! It’s more prestigious than an Oscars or a Grammy! It’s like the PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS — the PEOPLE are the ones who ACTUALLY VOTED!!! — HIS STUDENTS! THE STUDENTS!!! CLEARLY — HE’S A GOOD TEACHER!!!
Mmm… yeah… (shrugs shoulders)…
So anyways, I don’t think I want to ask him for help YET… I’ll see how I go the rest of this week… maybe… maybe this time next week I’ll be calling him on speed dial — I dunno YET… but I’m not reaching out to him YET…
(Nodding, smiling)… (Still thinking about the fact that my brother won Best Teacher of the Year award and starting to making his own comparisons for no reason)… THERE ARE LOT OF REASONS…
What reason?! Why would you feel the need to compare to a “BEST Teacher of the Year” award?! You’re not a teacher!!!

Yeah — that’s right — I’d prefer we stop talking about all of that for a while — but — I’m just thinking… in my own time, about this…

Even when I was in first year, at Melbourne Uni — I had an elective, it was called “Cyber Society” — it was about tech… stuff… I forgot exactly. But I had an assignment, it was like, 4000 words or something.
And I didn’t fully understand the assignment question. Then I asked my brother. He was practically my tutor. I didn’t reach out to the actual class tutors who would’ve been available as well. I just immediately went to ask my brother. He read over it, took him less than 5 minutes, and then “Bla bla bla bla bla bla bla — you need to explain this, and that, and this, and that, and this needs to correlate to that, and find references for this, and explain WHY, and WHAT and HOW and bla bla bla bla bla…” He said ALL those things… and then I was like, “WAIT!!!” — I needed to take notes!!!
And then he rolled his eyes at me!!! And then he said THE. EXACT. SAME. THINGS. SLOWER… so I could WRITE IT DOWN……………….. and then I had a TEMPLATE for my 4000 words essay.
(Chuckles)… and… what grade did you get?
I got a 97/100.
Ooh! 97!
Yeah… it’s the BEST GRADE I’ve ever gotten at UNIVERSITY. I have never, ever, EVER topped that 97!

Yes… with MY older brother’s help……………………. sort of… at least he pointed me in the right directions………………………
