There’s a very huge map right now of possible areas that could be affected. If not directly hit, there’s still gonna be heavy rains, storm weather, possible power outages… that’s the main concern with the groceries…

Already, I overheard the grocery store staff chat amongst themselves “it’s so busy because of the cyclone warning” — it was busier than normal for a Sunday afternoon. People are buying toilet paper and things like that…

I don’t know… so far it’s just a bit windy… I can see clouds are moving fast. I tried to watch the birds for a little bit. They fly normal when they are low, but as soon as they go higher, it’s like they’re drunk. It’s like “wind turbulence” on an airplane. You can see it from the way the birds are flying.

Well… there was another customer who was talking to me today. It’s just been the chatter this afternoon.
This particular customer, said she’s been through cyclones in Australia. She’s not from the Gold Coast, “it’s just my luck!” She came here for a holiday and now there’s cyclone warnings?!??!!!!
