So basically — she sent it to herself — she wrote her own name on the parcels. I guess I don’t check our mailbox at home everyday. And there was a while it was raining a lot, so I just didn’t bother checking.
So, I missed the slip that said you had a parcel to collect.
Then she was REALLY UPSET AT ME — I had to drive STRAIGHT TO THE POST OFFICE after class and chase this up for her…
And…? Did you get the parcel?
(LOL) No… they’ve sent it back to TAIWAN — it is on its way back to TAIWAN right now!!! ^0^ (oooopppssss)…

ANYWAY — I spoke to the Australia Post lady and she pretty much confirmed what I already told my mother earlier today when we realised this had happened. All of this during lunch break from classes.
I said to her, “Next time, just send it in MY name” — I have the Australia Post app — the app notifies ME when “I” have a parcel to pick up. (A parcel that doesn’t fit in our mailbox).
She wanted me to physically GO TO THE POST OFFICE TO CHECK —
So I had to do that after class, and the Aus Post lady confirmed it.
She also wanted me to ask, can’t I just add HER name onto my app?!?!
Aus Post lady said, “No… we don’t have that feature…” — The app doesn’t have that feature. It’s just ONE person to ONE app account. That’s it.
When “I” get the notifications — I have to go there and show MY photo ID — It’s MY parcel to collect. Nobody else can collect it on behalf of ME.
Oh? I didn’t know there was that feature…
If it’s a “signature required” parcel, yes. If there’s no signature required, someone with the same address is allowed to collect it.
Do you need phone number too?
I think it’s optional for domestic, but required with international shipping because — things could get lost more easily? I don’t know…
