Yes. Because sometimes I feel like a fashion novice. I’ve never truly dived in… I’ve always been on the peripheries. I’m a very comfortable fashion content CONSUMER — I love consuming all the content they pump out — I’m not even that much of an actual consumer — I don’t spend that much money on fashion — but it’s aspirational, for me… I love watching like, Vogue editorials, fashion interviews, things like that… I’m just consuming that content, but I don’t really… I don’t feel like I fully understand like, fashion history, or styling tips and tricks, or all those other things — whatever it is that is more behind-the-scenes industry things… I’m not that deeply involved in the fashion industry. But I’m always curious — any fashion content, I’m CURIOUS about it… yes…

(Smiles) Yes… if they’re happy to share it with the world… I love to watch whatever behind-the-scenes sneak peaks they’re willing to give…
I think… a lot of fashion people just think behind-the-scenes is really boring… it’s really tedious… why would you want to watch it?

I feel like… personally… because I ALMOST became a fashion stylist myself… I ALMOST became a fashion designer — in year 12 — I ALMOST took that path — and more recently, after the pandemic, I did a short course in fashion styling… I was really about to take it all very, very VERY SERIOUSLY… I was about to dive in, myself — behind-the-scenes…

Because… my parents… my family… their opinions… “Oh… fashion is a nice hobby… go study cybersecurity…”

Yes, because… when I did the short course… I learned a lot about how… well — I don’t know about other countries — but from what I learned, just anecdotally — in Australia — many stylists do a lot of overtime. It’s a LOT LOT LOT LOTTTTT of WORK!!! They put in the WORK — they’re bending BACKWARDS for their CLIENTS — they are the SAVIOURS when all HELL breaks loose — they get BLAMED if the outfit gets mocked on social media but they don’t even get CELEBRATED when the outfit looks GOOD — it’s very rare for stylists to make a “public” name for themselves, like Law Roach with Zendaya… it’s actually very, very rare…

Yeah — I don’t know why?! — It’s THEIR work — you’re a pretty face with a glam team and lots of makeup products — the Stylist holds that VISION — they do anything and everything, at the last minute — to make it all come together. They’re like a Mother with a sewing kit on their hips, “We gotta find a way to fix this hole” — whatever it is. They’re HOLDING THE FORT — and there usually isn’t any “wardrobe malfunctions” for social media to have their day with… and even if there was — that’s usually the CELEBRITY’S OWN FAULT — but the stylist’s get BLAMED when that happens!!! — (Shaking my head!!!)
