But it started with love songs… now it does feel like it’s just evolving to other songs that I am loving… I forgot, actually. I forgot about Amy Winehouse.

Yeah — and I feel like I discovered her. I liked her BEFORE she was popular. I liked her BEFORE all those Grammy awards or whatever else she won… I liked her — but I never told her — before her tragic ending… (Sad)…

Yes, it was in a little CD store in Melbourne — in one of the little alleyways in the city. It was so random. Maybe Flinders Lane or somewhere near there, somewhere like that… and back when they were still in existence. There used to be headphones and like — I don’t even know how to describe it?! The CDs were there that you could put on headphones and have like a “preview” of it before you buy it? Just listen before you buy?! Anyway, I did that — that’s how I discovered Amy Winehouse. Before anybody else in the mainstream media. I discovered her from the original first album: Frank.
I don’t even connect with the second album.
You know the weird thing is I’m listening to her on Apple music right now and it doesn’t sound like the CD that I remember… it’s weird… I’ve found this with some Taiwanese artists too… I think there’s something in the digital sound waves… the bites of sound… it’s not… coming through…
