Do you prefer hot or cold environments?
These days… probably cold…?
You used to say hot… what changed?
I think it changed since… I started working at the chocolate shop.
(Chuckles) ?!?!?!
Chocolate needs to be kept at 12 — 18 degrees Celsius. I pretty much got used to working in a fridge. Our shop was always cold. And there were daily temperature measures. If there was anything wrong with the temperatures, or even if someone accidentally placed the chocolate at a window where the Australian sun gets way too hot — that batch of chocolate would need to be thrown out. It could not be sold.
Wow, that’s some serious chocolate business!
Yes… That’s a little bit about what I learned whilst working at a chocolate shop.
Chocolat~~~
(Smiles)
Do you know how to make chocolate?
From scratch at home? Not really… I know what happens at the factory…
Oh… NDAs?!
(LOL) I don’t think it’s that serious. I’m pretty sure there’s already YouTube videos out there about it…
What else did you like about the chocolate shop?
Actually — There is a chocolate museum… in… Switzerland? I think it’ll be cool to visit one day. Not urgent — just one day…
(Smiles) Okay, I’m adding Chocolate Museum to our list.
What list?!
I’ll tell you one day. (Smiles)
I can make a really good chocolate smoothie.
Ooohh???
Yes, but you have to buy the right ingredients.
Tell me more…
I can’t just give away the recipe on a public blog!
Well — how can I prepare for it, then?
Just buy… the flavours that you like… and we can make a smoothie out of it, one day…
Do I add some protein powder?
Actually, I’ve never tried it with protein powder. I only know how to make the WEIGHT GAIN smoothie. It will just be full of sugar and calories. And even ice-cream is in the recipe. I know how to make a very delicious smoothie. Not healthy.
(Chuckles) Okay I want to try it one day on my cheat days…
It’s probably how I’m now a size 16?!
No… I don’t think it’s that at all… You were still so active in the chocolate shop?!
Yeah that’s true. It was a workout. It’s more strenuous than my current job.
Why?!
Chocolate is HEAVY…
Is it? Lots of heavy lifting?
Not lots and lots but after a while, and after some repetition — the repetitiveness of it — yeah, it gets heavy. It’s like cardio-light-weights… They didn’t require the girls to lift the actually REALLY HEAVY boxes — but you still had to lift some things… and it was repetitive after a while…
Do you still like that brand of chocolate?
Yes… I’ll always think of my time working at that shop fondly… I’m glad I worked there for a little while… And we’re very snobby about “good quality” chocolate — I kind of, have to have that brand now… (LOL)
(Smiles) So… if I wanted to get you a chocolate bouquet — it has to be from that brand?
(Nodding) For sure… you can’t just buy a random online “chocolate bouquet” from a florist where they’ve got other random brands of chocolate in that bouquet — Oh, no… I won’t eat it. No, no, no, no, no…
Does that brand sell bouquets?
For Valentine’s Day? Sure, of course — Sometimes you can pick and choose, make up your own…
Well that’s getting too hard now. How am I supposed to make up my own?!
Just surprise me! (Smiles) Show me if you really know me well… (LOL)
It’s a test. A valentine’s day chocolate bouquet is a test to see if I know you well enough… at this stage… this time around…?
(Chuckles and Giggles)
