What if that guy had been Ronny Chieng?

What?

The Law Ball stalker… what if that guy had been Ronny Chieng?!

(LOL) The Comedian from the Daily Show? Ronny Chieng?!

Yeah. Google it. He went to Unimelb around the same time as you and my older brother and all the mutual friends…

(Googling)…

(LOL) What the fuck?! I’ve never met a guy named Ronny, ever — the whole time that I was there!

You two never would’ve crossed paths?

I literally have no idea. Also — he’s married now — This is a fictional blog. And also — I highly doubt it.

I actually highly believe it’s possible you physically crossed paths and didn’t even know it.

Okay?! Okay?! If the dude had been hanging out at the library at random hours of the day? Heck — YOU could’ve crossed paths with him! When you visited, when you sneaked into classes WITH MEyou could’ve crossed paths with him!

(Chuckles)

How come you weren’t friends with him?!

How would I know?!?! There’s so many different groups of international students, local students, mixes of cultures and races and ethnicities groups of friends all over the campus. We just never crossed paths. We weren’t in the same friend group — at all.

Really…

Really! When you read his bio — okay, the college he stayed at — not my college. Not my friend group.

You didn’t know anyone at his college?

Honestly I ALMOST applied to stay at that college… but then… another friend told me to apply to stay at the college that I ended up in.

Oh?

Yeah. A Taiwanese Buddhist friend. Isn’t that interesting karma? They told me, “Nah — don’t apply for Trinity. Go to International House. Go there.”

International House? That’s where you stayed?

Initially, yes… That’s a Truth here… (Now we’re just outing everybody?!?!)

It’s still vague enough… You’re allowed to tell this Truth…

Didn’t you also have high school friends who stayed at college around Unimelb? Did any of them stay at Trinity?

No. Nobody. My other high school friends stayed at Janet Clarke Hall. They’re like different Harry Potter houses. We simply never crossed paths with “Ronny” fucking “Chieng”~?!?!!?!!!!

Oh…? But you’ve visited Janet Clarke Hall?

(Nodding) Yes, I’ve been to Janet Clarke Hall. It felt very familiar… the building… was similar… to my high school boarding houses… It was nostalgic… It was typical… European style architecture…

Do you regret staying at International House?

No, darling. I’ll never regret it. Even though I wasn’t as impressed with it when I first entered… even though it didn’t seem to look like the pictures on the website when I applied… turns out, it was one of the best choices that I ever made in my life.
