What… happened… to my baby… in Corporate Australia?
(Chuckles) What do you mean?
I’m watching Severance right now. Cos I know you’ll be watching it this weekend. What happened?!
Nothing happened — why are you acting like this?!
The show… I don’t find it funny… I don’t know why you find it funny? The music… it’s interesting… but I don’t get why you find it funny. I’m wondering — what happened to my baby in Corporate Australia?!
Weren’t you even in the group chats, lurking? The mutual friends even asked me on my first day, “Hey, how was your first day?” I said, “Good!” It was a good day.
That’s just polite conversation. What happened to my baby in Corporate Australia?
I signed an NDA…
Oh?! So it was that bad?!?!! You signed an NDA and you can’t even talk about what happened?!?!?!?!?!
Babe — you’re getting slightly dramatic about this — I even wrote a whole post about the things I LIKED whilst I was in Corporate Australia. It wasn’t that bad at all… when we’re together watching this show again, you’ll be able to see the scenes, the dialogue that are actually making me laugh. And I’ll be able to press “pause” and explain it to you — what is it about it that’s making me laugh. Don’t you find any of the scenes funny just watching it by yourself, now?
None of it is funny to me. It kind of makes me wonder… if you’re laughing from… trauma?
(LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL)…. It’s not that bad. Seriously. It’s not. It’s just a relatable… corporate experience… even from Corporate Australia… it’s amusing… many corporate workers will probably be commenting on this on social media.
But nobody’s spelling it out. Nobody’s actually saying anything. I can’t find any precise explanations of WHY this show is so good?! Why this show seems to really, really resonate with Corporate Millennials — and maybe even some Gen X? And some rare Boomers… Gen Z doesn’t fully seem to get it, either? They’re casual viewers… but WHY? This show?! This precise series of scenes, music, dialogue — why is it HITTING THE NERVE of CORPORATE MILLENNIALS?!?!?!!?
(LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL)……………. I don’t know, maybe you should ask Ben Stiller?! He’s not even a Millennial?!!? How did he do that?!?!!?
It’s categorised as “Thriller” — it’s not even in the comedy genre? Why are all the Corporate Millennials on social media saying it’s the funniest show ever?!?!?!
(I don’t even know how to describe the laugh right now — kind of a heeheeheeheeheeheee……!!!)
What is this “INSIDE JOKE” with CORPORATE MILLENNIALS?!? AND BEN STILLER?!?!?!?!
(LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL)….
