Shopping

You went shopping today? How was it?

It was good! I hadn’t gone back to that shopping centre for a while… maybe, almost a year?

I wasn’t sure if it was going to be busy. Definitely would suggest to avoid it during Christmas/Boxing Day period if you’re not keen on crowds — it was bonkers, somebody’s Tik Tok of the crowds went viral (at least, locally viral I guess)…

I knew, from where I used to work, which side of the car park to go to, so that I could find parking. And I parked there, and I went in to my old work place and I said “Hi!” and it was nice to have a quick catch up with an old work friend. (I think she is like an “Aussie Chappell Roan” — she was so surprised I said that! But I believe in her! I see that in her!)

AUSSIE CHAPPEL ROAN!? Explain more.

LOL… I don’t know if she can sing. But she dances. She dances very well. She loves dancing. And her face — I feel — looks like Chappell Roan. And she’s Aussie. So, I think she’s like an Aussie Chappell Roan! She has potential. For sure.

Is she trying to be Aussie Chappell Roan?!

No, not exactly. But she loves dancing. That’s her main strong point.

Okay, what else did you do after catching up with her?

Well, I went to some stores… Kate Spade, Bath & Body Works, Loccitane… yeah, those were the main ones I was interested in looking in.

Did you buy anything from them?

Yes! Kate Spade had a 50% off (asterisk) sale, and I got a wallet… and then, Bath & Body Works, I got a Cherry Blossom spray… and Loccitane, well I didn’t buy anything at Loccitane but I’m keeping in mind for next time, what I might want to get at Loccitane.

What is it that you want to buy from Loccitane?

There’s an anti-aging skincare kit… (LOL)… pore-refining… something something… the sales girl was nice, she explained it really well, and I will go back and get it next time.

You think that’s the one you need? The pore refining one? I thought you liked Rare Beauty.

I do… umm… women can have multiple cosmetics and skincare brands that they are loyal to… I love Rare Beauty… and I like Loccitane too!

I thought… you used to like… Jurlique?

I did… but that was a LONG time ago… I don’t know… that just faded for me… didn’t continue buying it. Meh?! (Shrugs shoulders) just wasn’t vibin’

So basically there’s no logic to women’s skincare brands, it’s just a vibe.

YES! That’s exactly it. (LOL)
