“So, ugh, you’re the only one who didn’t back out of the workshop. Everyone else cancelled last minute. They were afraid of their own Shadows. You, my dear… you’re ready.”
Good. I want to see what this is about.
“Let’s learn about the Dark Goddesses. Do you know much?”
Not really… a little bit of mythology.
“Here…” some printed PowerPoint slides… (Which made it all seem so… harmless?!)
“We’ll go over it together…”
“Dark Goddess energy is very powerful.”
Nodding… accepting…
“The darkness, it’s nothing to be afraid of.”
Nodding… accepting… it makes sense. I had been flying too high into the Light with Kundalini. I wanted to come back into the Shadows…
“You know, people think this workshop is something scary, it’s not.”
“It’s not. So far everything I’m learning is very logical.”
“It is… and these Goddesses… they were shunned. They were shunned by the altruistics. They were shunned by the Puritans. They were smeared, and mocked, and all the Villagers held up their own sense of righteousness about their superiority over the Dark Goddesses. Each one has her own story. She will hold you in her Shadows. Like when you were first in the womb. It’s dark. It’s quiet. It’s calm.”
Like the Void…
“Yes.”
Deep breathing.
“We’re going to make an offering.”
Okay.
“Here, some black features, a piece of wood, a red ribbon…”
(It could be… a… feather duster?! LOL)….
“As above, so below…”
(And some other chants that I don’t remember).
The workshop was during the day. The sun was bright. No rain. It felt safe. Very safe.
Afterwards, we had tea and lunch.
We talked as women do — about guys.
“Do you have a boyfriend? Husband? Do you want one?”
I don’t know. My heart feels so weary about that stuff today…
“I think… your Soul Mate rides a motorbike.”
That was… so fucking random…?! LOL?!?!
“Yeah. He rides a motorbike. A motorbike is going to be a sign… do you like motorbikes?”
I mean, I don’t particularly DIS-like them…?
“You have fond memories on motorbikes, no?”
Sure, yes… riding on a motorbike with my Dad in Taiwan. As a little girl… yes.
“Yes. That’s it. You like motorbikes! But you got scared as you got older. Because motorbikes crash. And it’s scary. There’s always a risk.“
Well… yeah?! Lots of accidents happen on motorbikes.
“But you see, you can’t live like that. That’s no way to live. Just GO ON THE FUCKING MOTORBIKE AND ENJOY THE RIDE!!!“
(Belly laughing)
