I am grateful that I wasn’t customer facing for that much of my shift. It was mostly back of house, but I did get pulled out onto the floor for a bit. But it wasn’t as bad as some other shifts that was constant customer facing.
I don’t know what else to say about that… there’s not much else to say about it.
Afterwards, shopping with Best Friend…
We’ve both changed… well, we both worked today, and we just didn’t have the same level of energy that we used to on a bright and early Boxing Day. It wasn’t like when we would be in the car at 8:00 am to be there with no other obligations.
It’s not a sport anymore.
Also — there weren’t that many good sales?! Many brands didn’t even have anything?!
I ended up buying one thing from Sephora that wasn’t even on sale. But I happened to be there. And sure, I could’ve ordered it online, but then I thought, “Well. I’m here, I might as well get it now.” To save myself the online ordering and postage. Otherwise — usually when I clock off, I’m not walking in that direction.
(Dinner’s ready)
