Suddenly, I had a thought — where in Brisbane? Where would I want to live?
*sigh*
It’s really not on my radar, actually. I haven’t been browsing Brisbane real estate lately. I don’t want to set that in stone, just yet.
Maybe it will be more obvious once we start exploring the city together. Which areas we prefer.
I don’t need to daydream about that at this stage. I don’t need to “pick a place” — I’m not familiar enough with the territory.
Generally speaking, probably staying on South side so we’re not too far away from family.
So — Brisbaners also have “North side” and “South side” people — we’ll stay on the South side. Basically from the CBD south… we’ll stay on that side. Many Asian communities are Brisbane South side.
Posh, upper-class Australians are in certain suburbs North side… we don’t need to hang around them. There’s nothing much to say about that.

Well… I did see a Tik Tok once, about a luxury property in Fortitude Valley… but it seems a little unrealistic right now…
Fortitude Valley isn’t South or North side, it’s just slightly North of the CBD but it doesn’t feel like it counts as North side at all. It is where Brisbane’s Chinatown is… the property is hidden away in the middle of the hustle and bustle.
I can’t remember if it was soundproofed or something, but it was an amazing sanctuary in the middle of the city. The way the Tik Tok revealed what was behind the innocuous gate doors… You wouldn’t suspect there’s a luxury home behind those gates, right there.
It must’ve had hidden access for cars as well. There’s definitely a hidden garage with it.
It was pretty cool!
But again, I don’t know for sure… it seems really, really far, out there… in the distant future. I don’t know.
Why am I typing this at 2:57 am?!
I’m going back to sleep… tomorrow is a big, big work day…
BOXING DAY… Australian Boxing Days are… CLINICALLY INSANE.
