I don’t have anything else to do. I don’t feel like watching Netflix or YouTube… I don’t feel like turning on Tik Tok. AT ALL.
I won’t go back into Pinterest until I’m actually winding down… I think?
I am enjoying the thought, that tomorrow, I’ll get 24 hours to myself.
24 hours — no appointments. No work shifts. I don’t need to call or talk to anyone — though, sometimes, there are waves of Christmas texts and messages from friends and co-workers.
I don’t really care to follow other peoples’ stories, but if I’m bored enough, sure I’ll peruse.
…
Am I wondering what you’re doing?
Sort of… I think I know… intuitively…
…
Anyway, I promised my brother and sister-in-law that since I have nothing else to do on Christmas Day, I HAVE TO HAVE TO HAVE TO… brush the pool.
(LOL)…
That’s my ONE Christmas obligation!!!
“Just brush it! It’s not that hard!!!” (My brother)…
“But I’m afraid I’m going to break the pool pump or something?!”
“NO. You won’t. When you brush it, the filter gathers the dead algae and it’s stored in the TANK and the bla bla bla bla bla bla bla –” he explained the ENTIRE PROCESSS… and there’s nothing logically to be worried about… just do it!
“But it’s SO GREEN… are you sure the algae won’t clog up the filter? We have enough room in our tank?!”
“YESSSSSSS” — like so matter-of-factly. It’s NOT. A. BIG. DEAL.
Okay… so… I have to face my fears tomorrow. on Christmas Day. And brush that pool.
…
Yes, normally people have a… creepy crawly… to suck off the algae… BUT…
(Brother): “It’s just another thing that’s going to break! Just brush the pool yourself, it’s FREE.”
…
So I have to learn to brush the pool.
That’s my Christmas mission.
