That was the consensus today, working in retail on Christmas Eve.
Others said I finally put into words what they had been feeling but didn’t know how to say it.
We just laughed it off together. Our shared sense of comradery.
Everyone is over-stimulated — customers and staff.
“Why would you leave this until the last minute?!” Christmas Eve is the day of the most procrastinator personality types of customers.
And they’re adorable. But… there’s only so much time to get what you need and get out.
“It’s the second worst day,” I told another friend…
“Is it? What’s the worst?”
“Boxing Day.”
“Really?! Boxing Day in Australia is like that?!”
(Laughs in Gold Coast local…) You have no idea…
